We have here a relatively old video footage from a Fifth Gear episode, but nevertheless it is definitely worth to watch it again. In the episode Tiff Needell and Sabine Schmitz are there to try three genuine British sports cars: the Ariel Atom 3.5, Morgan 3-wheeler and a Caterham 7 Supersport R.
The best moment in this drifting contest in our opinion was when Tiff almost killed himself while trying to tame that fierce beast called Morgan 3-Wheeler. That didn’t spoil his fun at all!
Tiff is one of the initial presenters in Top Gear and the person responsible for Jeremy Clarkson knowing how to powerslide. It is quite sure that this was not an easy task at all. Tiff Needell is not exactly in the center of his youth now, but his age did not slowed him down one bit. Some of his colleagues on Fifth Gear like Vicky Butler Henderson and Jason Plato who are accomplished racing drivers are still scared to sit in a car when Tiff is behind the wheel because… well, and this is a quote, Tiff is one crazy driver.
Crazy or just incredibly talented, this man is a hell of a great man and for sure – one of the giants in today’s car journalism. Enjoy the show!
