Iconic cars, beautiful design, impressive performance but only one place on the throne. One must win, one must loose, that are the rules.
We were asking ourselves when we will see the Tesla Model S P85D on a drag race, and while we were listing the latest videos on the internet we found it.
Two main upgrades transformed the Model S into the ultimate performance car adding additional 211 hp and the rear electric motor producing 470 hp, that’s amazing 691 hp and 687 lb-ft of torque. When the “insane mode” is turned on the acceleration is like crazy from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.6 seconds.
Are these performances enough to beat the Corvette C7 Stingray? The C7 Stingray performance is not so impressive but GM estimates this car as the most powerful standard Corvette. Under the C7 Stingray hood is the fifth generation of 6.2-liter small block V8 engine with 455 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, moving the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4 seconds.
So, how does it look to you? Let the best one win the race. And after you’ve watched the video posted by The Auto Haven leave us comments what you think about the winner and the performance.
