NO CAR KEYS? No Problem! Here Is How You Can Unlock Your Car In UNDER 10 SECONDS!

Did you leave the keys inside your car? No problem, at all. All you need to unlock the car without a key is just a shoelace and some handy fingers.

The video shows a simple and, at the same time, an interesting way as much as possible, how with some dexterity in only a few seconds with the aid of only one shoelace to open the locked door of almost any car, if it has appropriate internal lock latch.

This method is more appropriate for a James Bond movie but why not try it yourself?

It is completely needless to describe the technique itself, since the video is more than enough to figure out everything. Just don’t forget not to do this if there is a police officer around. Also, please be kind enough not to use it on my car :)

  1. incognito

and that kids, is how you steal cars

    1. Mac ( Post author )

      Hahaha true indeed lol :)

    2. Bonertown

Ya if only it started like that too..

      1. Mac ( Post author )

This is a more advanced method :)

    3. Trev

Any car that easy to get into is not stealing.

      1. Mac ( Post author )

Yeah, that’s just borrowing a car πŸ˜€ lol

    4. Mac too

My car doesn’t have the little knob to get ahold of with a string….

      1. Mac ( Post author )

Lucky you Mac :) What car do you have friend?

        1. Zak

          Same with mine πŸ˜›

          1. Mac ( Post author )

In that case you don’t have to worry about someone using this clever trick to “borrow” your car for a while πŸ˜€

      2. Matthew Webster

Most cars these days don’t have that feature. At least not one you can attach to with a string.

        1. Mac ( Post author )

You’re right Matthew. If most of today’s cars had that feature, imagine how much the business of car thieves would “flourish” :)

    5. Fred Prins

No, you can only steal things out of the cars. Modern cars won’t start without the chip that is inside the ignition key.

      1. Mac ( Post author )

I guess Incognito was talking about older cars without transponder car keys.

    6. Marlon M

Hell, kids already know how to steal cars..

      1. Mac ( Post author )

        True indeed Marlon.

  2. kate ansell

other people could break into your car by showing this

    1. Mac ( Post author )

Lucky for us, today we have cars with power door locks :)

  3. knutttt

That kids is how you steal twenty year old cars not worth stealing.

    1. Mac ( Post author )

Who knows, maybe some would like to steal them just for fun πŸ˜€ lol

      1. saif

Who knows thats a stolen car :p

        1. Mac ( Post author )

Hahah πŸ˜€ Hey that’s a funny thought Saif. Too bad we don’t have more info about the guys who filmed this video…

  4. Matt

This has been set up. Look carefully at the door frame when he opens the door. The seal has been removed making it easier to get the shoelace inside.

    1. Mac ( Post author )

Hey you’re right Matt. The seal is really removed. I wonder if they really did that on purpose just to fool people with their “trick” :)

      1. chris

Actually no because i just did this to my stepdads truck yesterday cause he left them in his 2000 ford f-150 and his has the seal on

        1. Mac ( Post author )

Thanks for letting us know that Chris. Now we can be sure that the seal doesn’t have any effect on this trick. I’m glad you found this method useful :)

  5. Doug

The seal is not necessarily removed, on many cars the weatherstripping on attached to the roof/windshield pillar, but I wouldn’t doubt the video has been doctored a bit to make it look easier than it is. regardless it is a clever way to possibly get it to certain types of vehicles.

    1. Mac ( Post author )

Yeah, it sure is clever. You never know if you might need it πŸ˜€

  6. Josh

Hopefully whoever steals it will fix that ugly dashboard.

    1. Mac ( Post author )

Hahaha yeah Josh, it’s definitely not the most beautiful one :) lol

  7. Gian

There is no way you can get in my car without the Keys.. It’s all Electronic controlled, without a doorknob in the inside. I don’t even have a keylock on the outside.
I once accidentally dropped my Keys in the trunk, and the car automatically closed itself, so I couldn’t open it in any way, exept with a reserve key.
Oh yeah, also, I had my Windows half open (because it was summer) and the Doors didn’t even open when I tried to open them from the inside on the door itself, Nothing worked.. To open them, I Really do need the Keys, and I’m sure quite alot New cars are hard to open with this shoelace method.
Incase you wonder what car I have. It’s a ’09 VW scirocco

    1. Mac ( Post author )

That’s great Gian. It’s very cool that today we have cars with power door locks, so we can be rest assured that our cars are safe :)

    2. anonymous

Someone can probably unlock your doors from China though.

      1. Mac ( Post author )

        How come from China Anonymous?

      2. Side Pocket

Lol… That’s true Anonymous… thieves always have tricks, no matter how advanced things may be

        1. Mac ( Post author )

The people know their thing. They evolve all the time :)

  8. Lizo Patrick Cagwe

This will not work on electrical doors and windows. Poor old cars.

    1. Mac ( Post author )

Yeah, indeed Lizo poor old cars :) I wonder how many of them these guys have opened with this trick :)) lol

  9. Matt

Nope- not buying it- why didn’t his loop tighten up when he was fishing the line behind the door? fake

    1. Mac ( Post author )

It’s hard to tell from a video whether it is fake or not Matt. Nevertheless, you can’t use it on modern cars so don’t worry about your car πŸ˜‰

  10. wildman

any idiot knows that trick- lets see ya do one for the cars without the piece of cake lock button on top of the door panels

    1. Mac ( Post author )

Now that would be a real challenge Wildman :)

  11. simon

i locked my keys in my car i tryed this method out it took me like 3hours lol. atleast i saved to call a towing for 40$

    1. Mac ( Post author )

I’m glad you used this trick with a success Simon. And don’t worry friend, next time you’ll be faster. It just takes some practice. You can try on other cars too πŸ˜€ lol

  12. katz

well as technology progresses,so do thieves. ofcourse sum1 frm china can open them doors,if its electronic then that stupid car can b hacked

    1. Mac ( Post author )

That/s interesting Katz. Have you ever experienced or heard of an electronic car door to be hacked ?

  13. jawgie

I would venture to say this automobile would have a tad bit of wind noise on the Interstate… (wouldn’t want to be riding “shotgun” during a driving rain on that side, either!)

    1. Mac ( Post author )

Haha :) Good thinking Jawgie :) lol

  14. Marlon M

That’s why I’m glad my car doesn’t have door lock buttons you can grab ahold of.

    1. Mac ( Post author )

Yeah, this trick works on older cars. Modern cars however are safe from theft like this.

  15. JLV

Ok so my fathers a mechanic so I know how to open a modern car with two screwdrivers and a hanger

    1. Mac ( Post author )

Well I guess you’re one lucky skilled person JLV :)

  16. JLV

Yeah but it’s like I help people cause the toe companies charge $100 over here I do it for free cause not that many can afford that so yeah thank you Mac

    1. Mac ( Post author )

You must be famous where you live huh? :)

  17. JLV

I would love to help you out to Mac

    1. Mac ( Post author )

      Well thanks a lot friend.
