The Mad Scientist, as the racer of the American series Monster Truck Lee O’Donnell calls himself, is really crazy, as he was the first in this kind of sport to make a front flip with his huge monster truck.
The Mad Scientist crew with Lee O’Donnell behind the wheel brought huge joy among fans of monster truck competitions with the first successful performance of a front flip.
Competitions in which the skills of the drivers are valued mainly according to the length of jump of their trucks, with some simple trick here and there, are all the more interesting although you have to wait several years for a new spectacular trick to occur.
Back in 2010 the audience loudly applauded for the first time at the first successfully implemented backflip, and it took very little two years later to applaud at the first double backflip.
It was in 2015 yet when they applauded to Tom Meents who after a double flip backwards managed to land on the wheels of his monster truck.
O’Donnell fueled the pretty boring ride in the World Freestyle Championship Monster Jam in Las Vegas with an awesome backflip, but this was only a warm-up for the big surprise that was about to happen. Carried away by the successful performance of the first front flip, O’Donnell felt the need to put an end to his performance with another backflip, but bad choice barriers cost him landing on the nose of his monster truck.
Needless to say that you cannot do this with your own truck…Oh well, you can always dream about it boys 🙂 This man really deserves some major credits. He’s got the skills alright!
Take a look at this amazing video below and see as the monstrous beast with 1,500 HP, and 500 ci goes wrong side up through the ramps, impressing everyone present at the event (and on the whole web as well).
The video is absolutely insane!
