Years of production: 1983 – 1989

BMW E24 replaced the CS and CSL models, which were issued in 1965. The release started in March 1976 with two models 630CS and 633CSi. In July 1978 there was a more powerful version 635CSi (at first not available in North America and Japan), which had a standard 5-speed gearbox and a black spoiler on the trunk lid.
