In honor of the Mustang’s 50th Birthday Celebration, Ford company organizes many parties and event to commemorate the birth of the living legend, one of the best muscle cars America has ever made.
So, last weekend in Charlotte, there was an exhibition on which the legendary 800 horsepower, 527 cubic inch, 1967 Shelby GT 500 was in the center of attention. The car earned the nickname “Shelby Sleeper” due to its subtle looks that does not reveal the real power inside. Only from a simple looks at this “RK 527” (and even knowing that you are looking at one of the best American muscle car), you would never guess what lies beneath the hood of this ’fancy looking‘ monster with a heart of lion.
For this occasion, in stead of a regular option of a 428, RK Motors decided to go with all aluminum, 527 cubic inch, Boss Nine V8 engine made by Jon Kaase, that gives incredible 800 HP! If you respect our opinion, than you should agree that there is no better way to make a tribute to a Shelby GT 500 (we even think that there wouldn’t be other that will overcome this one).
