The Chevrolet Chevelle was first introduced in 1964 through 1977 as a mid-size automobile from Chevrolet. Chevelle models at first were just economical and family cars, but with time they became a powerful coupes and convertibles so people started noticing them more and more.
The 1966 Chevelle carries a V8 engine with 375 horsepower and RPM of 5600, this beast of a car is unbelievable. Having a Torque of 415 and 3600rpm, this “beast” flies on the track like a bird. The top speed of this car is 105 mph, zero to sixty in incredible 6 seconds, finishing the quarter mile in 14.4 seconds with a speed of 100 mph. This is truly a muscle car that is adequate for the race tracks.
Bob Moreland is the owner of a ’66 Chevelle that he clearly customized for racing. This blue “Dirty Trick” ’66 Chevelle is just too fast for the tracks. There isn’t too much to say about it. The front tires are small and thin, and on the other hand, the back ones are enormous and thick. Just by looking one might say that this car is made just for racing, and the owner has done a really good job. I’m very certain that he didn’t leave the engine unchanged either. But finishing second in the race with 107.13 in 6.46 sec, he lost by a fracture of a second. There is nothing to worry about, perhaps it was just a bad start, that’s all. Even the best lose sometime.
So over all this ’66 Chevelle is a great old timer muscle car that can be converted in a top racing monster.
