Driving The NEW Ford Ranger At Dakar 2015 In Argentina, Bolivia and Chile Is The ULTIMATE OFF-ROAD RALLY Experience!

The mighty off-road Ford Ranger probably does not have so much in common with his urban twin brother, but it was kinda like a lion over the Atacama desert and jungles in South America.

You wanna see the beast in action, you are on the right place. Watch the intensive and dramatic exterior recordings of the New Ford Ranger in action, runing, like a lion chasing his dinner, across salt flats in a powerful motorstorm of racers.

The team, Ford Racing, for the first time appeared on the Dakar Rally last year, and for a debut team they finished on the 22nd place. Quite impressive we must admit. This year, the team was few positions down on the 27th place, but it’s still a solid result if we consider the original 136 competitors of which only 68 have succeed to the final flag. Behind the steering wheel of this beast, Ford Ranger 4×4 Double Cab were Federico Villagra, a rally star from Argentina and his country man Andres Memi, experienced in driving cars, bikes and trucks at the events in the past year.

The off-road Ranger comes equipped with a Ford Aluminum 5.0L-4V V8 engine under the hood, capable to produce power of 260 kW @ 4 500 r/min and torque of 560 Nm @ 4 100 r/min. The engine is paired to Sadev six-speed sequential gearbox. The top speed of the vehicle is 170 km/h, running on 16” Evocorse rims shod in 245/85-16 Michelin tires.
