1961 Jaguar E-Type
The RWD sports car Jaguar E-Type, which has become one of the automotive symbol of the 1960s, made its debut in 1961. The car is known for its luxury and beautiful design. Unlike previous machines of the brand it had a monocoque body. In the US market the model was called the Jaguar XK-E. Double coupe and roadster, which were issued at a factory in Coventry, came equipped with in-line six-cylinder engine with capacity of 3.8 liters and a four-speed automatic transmission. The nameplate capacity of the power unit was 269 hp but the actual output was slightly lower.
