2014 Maserati Ghibli!

2014 Maserati Ghibli
The Maserati Ghibli is a major step forward in Maserati`s history. It debuted just a few months after the Quattroporte at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. For the first time in history, Maserati is produced with two four-door.

This Maserati is lighter, shorter, smaller, dynamic, and most important it has less expensive price than the flagship Quattroporte. By 2015, Maserati plans to produce 50, 000 units. This sporty model has Twin Turbo-charged V6 petrol engine of 3.0 liters. It delivers 410 horsepower. It hits 62 mph in5.0 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 177 mph.

It resembles Quattroporte in many aspects. They share similar suspension architecture, chassis, crash safety, LED headlight technology and engines. However, this model is lighter than the Quattroporte for 50 kg and 173 mm shorter in the wheel base.

The design is made to look like coupe with four-door saloon. The grille`s production is greatly inspired by Gran Turismo as well as classic 1950s A6 GCS.

There are three versions: Maserati Ghibli, Ghibli Diesel and Chibli S. They all have eight-speed automatic transmission which provides plenty of oomph.

The Maserati has well balanced weight distribution, a-state-of-the-art-five-link rear suspension, and a double-wishbone rear suspension.

Now Maserati Ghibli is a part of the E-segment sports premium market in which many tweaks are offered such as: reversing camera, Maserati Touch Control screen Poltrona Frau leather interior and 15 speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system.

Maserati designed for itself completely new engines which are manufactured by Ferrari. They are V6 Twin Turbo engines which have Twin Turbo Gasoline Direct Injection.

The exhaust system is controlled by pneumatic valves. It passes through the unique Maserati Sound Tank. In the Sport mode, there are diversity of handling parameters.

All the Maserati Ghibli have the ZF AT8- HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission. Maserati produced a mechanical limited-slip rear differential for all drive versions (rear and all-wheel).

Interior-wise, the car exhibits a much modern sports style which is wrapped in carbon fibre, leather, and Alcantara. Its equipment includes the following: eight-way electrically adjustable front seats, wood trim, dual-zone climate controlled air conditioning, leather seats, active cruise control, fixed braking calipers, and Bi-Xenon Adaptive Front headlights System.
