This is the all-new 2017 Ford Raptor F-150, as it was introduced as the ultimate high performance off-road pick up – this is what you get when Ford passion for performance vehicles is combined with the obsession for making the world best trucks.

We are going to miss the V8s but don’t think that the minus two cylinders engines are not capable of producing the same power. The new 3.5-liter Ecoboost, the successor under the hood in the new Raptor will change your mind (the current engine is 6.2-liter V8 with 411hp).

Raptor is specially engineered for high performance and off-roading (we know what to expect from the new engine). It possess the smartest next generation of 3.5-liter Ecoboost engine with all new ten-speed transmission that improves driving and fuel efficiency (plus is 500 lb lighter). But they didn’t reveal more numbers about the performance at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

Rumors say that the Ford GT uses this engine too, which in that edition produces more than 600 hp, impressive isn’t it?

Honestly we were expecting 500 hp or more, but on one TV interview the officials from Ford cut the rumors and told the exact details compared to the current engine: The current Raptor carries 411hp 6.2-liter V8 with 588Nm (434lb-ft) of torque, the new Raptor carries 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 with 469Nm (420lb-ft) of torque, not bad at all.
