An Unrestored 1969 Ford Mustang Sold at $550, 000 at Mecum!

Mecum enabled the purchase of an original and completely unrestored 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429. The odometer shows amazing 902 miles. Furthermore, the steering wheel and seats are factory plastic wrapped. The pre-auction estimation was around $600, 000 and $700, 000. This makes this Boss the most expensive in the world.

However, the auction did not meet Mecum`s expectations. The muscle was sold at $550, 000; a price that does not make it No. 1 most expensive Boss. Barrett-Jackson`s Scottsdale auction in 2007 keeps the record by selling the Boss 429 for $605, 000.
