Wanna see some real monstrous power and persistence? Well in that case check out this truck by the worldwide company for heavy lifting and transport – Mammoet. The company was based in the Netherlands but has established many offices around the world.
This private Dutch company was founded in 1971 and specializes in heavy lifting and transportation of heavy loads on water and on land. In the state of the organization is (in 2010) more than 3,400 employees, of which 1100 – in the Netherlands and 2300 – in nearly 70 offices around the world. The company has a solid reputation for being able to do almost anything.
On this video you can see a single truck owned by this company towing a huge monstrous Hitachi EX5500 excavator, with two trucks behind the excavator pushing it. The event took place in Ford McMurray in Alberta, Canada. According to one of the viewers on YouTube this was the largest move on the Alberta Provincial Highway No 63 from the capital of Alberta – Edmonton to Fort McMuray. The distance between the two locations is 270.9 miles which is quite amazing.
