Ford Mustang Eleanor – ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING You WANTED to Know about …!

Eleanor from the 2000 “Gone in 60 Seconds” movie

But Eleanor of the 2000 remake with Nicolas Cage in the lead role, is a fantastic car, there is no other way to say. This Mustang was created specifically for the film “Gone in 60 Seconds” on the basis of the model 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. The model appeared as a result of the fruitful cooperation of the legendary engineer Carroll Shelby and the company Ford, and originally had, for example, 428-cc V8 engine, developing 335 hp.

Just for the sake of the picture were built 12 copies of Eleanor. The car was built by the company Cinema Vehicle Services in conjunction with the famous Californian designer of hot rods Chip Foose and the illustrator Steve Stanford. Only three cars out of all were “on the fly”, while two of them were broken during filming.

The filmmakers turned the already posh car, into a stunning, amazing, unforgettable sports car. The body of the original model was dismantled into small pieces, and then re-formed of fiberglass and epoxy glue. The body of Eleanor was manually reworked three times until the creators did not reach this perfection.

The car Mustang Shelby GT500 Eleanor is not only interesting in the film. On the street it drew no less attention.

This car is so sophisticated that is worth a look at it yourself, and not to trust what they write about it. The man who once had the opportunity to stand side by side this car, is off from the contemplation of the miracle, when the car along with the owner leaves the parking space.
