In drifting, the front wheels move to the selected racing trajectory. In professional racing the proximity of the car passing the so -called “clipping points” is being assessed, and without a full control of the front over an exact trajectory that is impossible.
Drift is not just “skating” on the car, and completely controlled slip. Drivers carefully “deal” with the car and its border control to direct it in the desired direction without spinning uncontrolled and without reducing the speed of the car. Drift drivers can slide the car consistently smooth and precise while passing from turning to a turning, aiming it in the desired direction.
