Kitabayashi – San’s method is consisted of a cleaned stock block, lightweight H -- beam connecting rods, re -- worked crankshaft and an addition of plus 1 mm. oversized HKS forged pistons. With a combination of the 87 mm. bore and slightly increased stroke in order to increase displacement to 2.7 L, and in the same time correcting the naturally poor harmonic balance of the RB 26 at high rpm.
