The Dodge Charger was first released on January 1, exactly fifty years ago.  It used the chassis of the Dodge Coronet, but with its own unique and beautiful body, the Dodge Charger was the brand’s first fastback, high-speed street racer.

Even after fifty years the Dodge Charger remains one of the most colorful and popular muscle cars.

If you do not know the 1969 Dodge Charger, then you are not an American who liked to watch TV in the 1980s. Then the Charger is the same, but the orange color, and bearing the name of General Lee was the star of the television series “The Dukes of Hazzard”. The most evil version was Charger R/T with 440 Magnum engine under the hood, which gave out 375 hp.
