1975 Ford Gran Torino
We’re here to remember one car and one TV series. The car that was featured is Ford’s model Gran Torino from 1974 and 1976 (in the second season of the series), a crime series which was called “Starsky and Hutch” according to the names of the main characters. But to focus on the red car with a white ribbon that has become one of Hollywood’s most famous symbols on four wheels. Close to the sunset of the model, Ford decided to release 1001 copy of the limited “Starsky and Hutch” Gran Torino. It goes without saying that all were grabbed even before they arrived in a regular sale, which in itself says enough, and placed Ford Torino side by side with the most successful car ever seen in a series – the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T from the “The Dukes of Hazzard” TV series.
