1970 Pontiac Trans Am
Besides the Lamborghini Countach, the 1976 movie Cannonball Run also featured a terrific American muscle car, and that was the 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. The first Firebird was released in the same year as the 1967 Mercury Cougar, which, on the other hand, had the same platform as the Mustang. The 1967 turned out to be a very good year for all the pony car enthusiasts.
