222 (developed in 1960)
223 (developed in 1961).
The trucks were based on a series of Datsun 210 sedan and had two engines from Nissan with output of 37 and 48 horsepower. On the latest model of 223 was installed a new engine with output of 60 hp. These pickups were available in two body styles: Double Cab and Van. All members of the second generation had an independent front suspension with torsion beam, but in 223 the suspension system has been completely redesigned. In 1958, the Japanese pickup truck 220 began to be exported to the US market under the brand name Datsun.
