2001 Ford F-150 SuperCrew
When it comes to pickup trucks, the Ford Motor Company has dominated the market for almost twenty years decades, thanks to its bestseller Ford F-Series. We are not just talking about the champion of trucks sales, but referring to the most sold of all vehicles as well.
However, the Ford F-Series has always been a stereotypical American pickup truck including simply a bed and two doors. One could buy a SuperCab and even the two additional doors on the pickup, but it still had the look of a typical pickup truck.
Until the introduction of the SuperCrew, the true four-door cabs were reserved only for the 3/4- and 1-ton pickups. And the 2001 Ford F-150 SuperCrew was the first half-ton pickup truck with a four-door cab to enter mass production.
The 2001 Ford F-150 SuperCrew is a large, bold and highly capable pickup truck. It is offered in the following body trims: Crew Cab body style, XLT, King Ranch, Lariat, and Harley Davidson. Engine options range from the 231 hp 4.6-liter V8 to the 260 hp 5.4-liter V8 which can deliver 350 lbs-ft of torque. The SuperCrew can accommodate up to six persons and comes with a long list of standard equipment, such as air conditioning, power accessories, cruise control, heated lumbar seats, an adjustable steering wheel wrapped in leather, AM/FM/CD, ABS brakes and airbags.
