2010-2014 Ford SVT Raptor
Ford had been playing with the concept of a raging offroad F-150 truck during the ‘90s. Even so, the transformation that the SVT team of Ford had achieved with the Ford Raptor was shocking when the public saw it for the first time in 2009.
The SVT team picked internal-bypass Fox Racing shock absorbers and urethane bump stops. Although the 4WD system of the Raptor is mechanically similar to a standard-release of the Ford F-150, the designers used advanced electronics to increase its capability.
Raptors are offered in two cab configurations: SuperCab or bigger SuperCrew. Whichever setup is selected, the soft-riding suspension on the Raptor can simply sail over jumps, smoothing out even the worst washboard roads, while still able to haul an 8000-pound trailer.
