1953-1956 F-100
Hardcore fans of Ford trucks value the first-generation Ford trucks, but to be honest they look dull compared to these appealing trucks built between 1953 and 1956. These second-generation Ford trucks built with well proportions were the first to have a wrap-around windshield and the first with a modern nameplate.
These trucks meant more than just style. In 1954, Ford replaced the aging flathead with a new overhead valve design V8 engine that developed almost 180 hp by 1956, which was 70 hp more than the old engine. And the year of 1953 marked the debut of the very first automatic transmission with integrated torque convertor installed on a pickup by Ford.
