2008-2010 Hummer H3 Alpha
After almost a decade producing massive SUVs, Hummer finally released a smaller vehicle in 2005. The Hummer H3 was based on the skeleton of the Chevrolet Colorado, which is why it had the Colorado’s I5 engine. The deficiency in its power was solved in 2008 when Hummer installed its powerful 5.3-liter V8 engine with 300 hp under the hood of the compact H3. So the model finally had the muscle power to match its bulky appearance. The Hummer H3 Alpha was capable of accelerating to 60 mph in 2 to 3 seconds faster than the models with five-cylinder engine.
