1981-1985 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler

Back in the early ‘80s, Jeep needed a small pickup truck to compete in that new segment of the market. This is why it transformed the famous Jeep CJ-7 into a vehicle which is more suitable for towing by stretching its wheelbase by full 10 inches and building a longer pickup truck-like body with wooden stake on the bedsides. It was known as the CJ-8, or Scrambler. They were a lot nicer to drive than the CJ models, mostly because its longer wheelbase smoothed out the ride. Less than 30,000 samples were built, which is why their value today is rising.
